Virtual event

hosted at our office in Buntingford

“Once we had contracted with Attend2IT the rapport continued.  At every stage our project manager, Toby was very patient in explaining how the event could work, in educating us in ways of doing things virtually and keeping us on track. Another positive aspect of working with Attend2IT, was their willingness to work flexibly. They quoted to provide extra recording and web development as our plans developed and their expertise was needed. However, they were equally willing to support us to do as much as we could ourselves, on occasions suggesting cost-effective collaborative solutions. Our good working relationship helped us to deliver a successful event as a team.”

Joyce Nisbet, BBKA Trustee and Chair of Spring Convention Committee

“We knew Attend2IT could deliver the kind of event we needed having looked at some of their previous virtual events. In the end one of the most important factors in choosing Attend2IT was the rapport we built up from our very first contact with them. The Spring Convention team had never run a virtual event before so we had to go through a very steep learning curve to understand what we would need to do to take the Convention online and how we could make it work well for our presenters, traders and audience.”

BBKA Spring Convention

The BBKA Spring Convention is an annual educational event usually held at Harper Adams University in Shropshire. The Convention offers a variety of lectures, workshops and bee-related retail therapy. The BBKA contacted us in late 2020 to discuss whether we could help take the event online for the first time in its 43 year history.

Our Solution

Using our Eventcaster virtual event platform we created a fully branded website which managed users from ticket sale, through to viewing the live content and being able to watch the content post-event via Video on Demand. The platform also handled all live presenters and Q&A elements natively, allowing attendees and speakers one central hub for the event.

The Event Included

More then 20 practical and scientific presentation as well as more social sessions

12 Live Q&A sessions with more than 30 live speakers and chairpersons.

A Market Place for exhibitors and sponsors, handled via our CMS for users to populate their own detalils.

More than 6,000GB of data streamed from our CDN over  the live weekend to viewers worldwide.

The event was a resounding success, drawing a larger and more geographically diverse audience than the physical event. The website continues to draw traffic post-event with ticket sales continuing until May 31st enabling attendees to view VOD content at their leisure.
